Cecilia Caparas Apelin is a mother, entrepreneur, marketing and brand strategist, and cultivator of creative communities. She loves bringing people together and creating opportunities where creativity, community, and collaboration can thrive.
As CEO and Co-Founder of Ciel Creative Space, Cecilia has transformed an industrial building into one of the Bay Area’s leading creative campuses, serving everyone from emerging artists and nonprofit organizations to global brands including Adobe, Gap, Google, Nike, and Levi’s. Her work bridges the worlds of business, design, music, philanthropy, and civic engagement, where collaboration becomes a catalyst for lasting community impact.
Cecilia serves on the boards of Bay Philharmonic, Design Bay Area, and the Berkeley Chamber of Commerce, and has collaborated with organizations including the de Young Museum, Oakland Roots SC, and San Francisco Design Week to advance arts, culture, and creative innovation throughout the region.
She believes the best ideas grow when people have space to create together, and that investing in creativity today helps shape a stronger tomorrow.
