Miriam Amina Jones

Pronouns: She/Her

Miriam joined Ciel Creative Space in early 2020 as studio manager before stepping into the role of director of studios.

Eclectic by nature, Miriam's passions span many arenas... inspired by the youth craft classes she led as a teen, she co-founded a nonprofit to offer healing arts workshops in hospitals, community spaces, and city festivals in her early 20's.

Channeling Montrose and living out her "Mannequin" window dressing fantasies for a few women-owned boutiques in the mid 90's led to styling and wardrobe opportunities, and kicked off a long career as a brand stylist for many household names. With roots on the east coast, she's been based in the Bay Area since the Macy's marketing team relocated her in 2006 as a fashion stylist.

At the request of clients, Miriam transitioned into photo production for fashion retail at a pivotal time of growth for ecomm and digital video, and helped champion change for extended sizes representation and inclusive casting. She carried over her love for learning as an instructor for the Academy of Art University and City College of SF's fashion department, immersed in a vibrant international creative community.

With an unrelenting conviction that all humans are inherently creative, Miriam's passion is to help others realize their potential, amplify voices, and support our next generation of diverse leaders. Gifting hand-made goodies is her love language... you'll find her most at peace with her sleeves rolled up in her studio or garden, or traveling this wacky planet with her daughters and husband.
